Yachats is a small coastal resort city on the Oregon Coast in Lincoln County, Oregon, United States. The city straddles the Yachats River and the bulk of the city is on northern side where most local businesses can be found. As of the 2000 census, there were 600 full-time residents. Although during the Summer and especially on weekends the population doubles to over 1000 inhabitants.

Yachats was also voted to be one of the 10 coolest small towns by Budget Travel. The Oregon Coast is simply an amazing place and is located just a few miles north of Cape Perpetua. Yachats is one of the few ocean beach areas where smelt come ashore to spawn.

There are many restaurants for, ranging from take away to gourmet dining. Accommodations in Yachats include hotels and rental homes to bed and breakfasts, many of which take advantage of the spectacular views available in the area.

Other recreational activities to enjoy include beachcombing, clam digging, hiking and camping. There is Neptune State Park (several hike/bike sites, fee), Ten Mile Creek (four tent/small RV sites, no fee), the Forest Service campground at Cape Perpetua Scenic Area (37 sites for trailers, tents or motor homes, fee), and Rock Creek (16 sites, mostly tent, fee).
